AUTHOR NAME : Priyanka Nagdeve, Shivali Dhanorkar, Sanjana Motghare, Prof. Pankaj N. Patil

ABSTRACT : Mainly we studied how to improve the quality of foundation soil. For our project work, we reviewed many research papers, and from that, we noted that for effective stabilization of soil, there should be an improvement in the chemical properties of soil and physical properties of soil. Many use fibers to improve the physical strength of soil, these fibers have to be strong enough and have high tensile resistance properties. i.e. Coir fiber, bamboo fiber, glass fiber, polypropylene fiber. For improvement in Chemical properties, they used cementitious material for increasing binding strength. i.e. fly ash, silica flume, company kiln dust, sugarcane baggage ash. The combination of fibers and binding materials is very useful for the improvement of the strength of soil, hence from this we need to take one binding matetial and one fibre to get positive results. These all are taken at different proportion to get optimum content. Also, we need to select some test to verify changes.

ABSTRACT : In the contemporary era, there is a growing emphasis on repurposing waste materials to create practical items that benefit society. The demand for household appliances facilitating the effortless and cost-effective peeling of fruits and vegetables has prompted the development of a manual peeling machine. This machine is particularly valuable for food makers and small restaurants. Comprised of components such as handles, gear trains, bearings, lead screws, cutting tools, and a wooden base, this paper delves into the construction of a manual peeling machine. It explores both the theoretical and practical operational principles of the machine and its constituent parts, utilizing scrap or reusable materials. The assembly of components on a wooden base to create a functional model is described, along with an examination of wood characteristics and the advantages and disadvantages of lead screws. Currently, the peeling of fruits and vegetables, such as potatoes and apples, predominantly occurs through semi-automatic or automatic methods, with both approaches suffering from high peeling losses, particularly for produce with irregular surfaces. This research aims to enhance existing mechanical peeling techniques and devise new methods that closely approximate "ideal" peeling conditions by leveraging the mechanical properties of the produce. A mathematical model simulating the peeling process has been developed, with significant influencing parameters identified. These parameters, encompassing both product and peeler characteristics, are delineated as coefficients within a linear regression model. Experimental validation of the mathematical model is provided.

ABSTRACT : Understanding traffic signs is essential for effective transportation systems on roads and highways. An overview of techniques for detecting and recognizing traffic signs is given in this paper. In order to design a system that can automatically detect road signs and display relevant images on the dashboard of a vehicle, we present the development and implementation of procedures for extracting road signs. The study presents a novel method for identifying and extracting road signs, with a special emphasis on niche markets like islands and educational institutions. Creating Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs): Smart traffic management systems rely heavily on this. By facilitating information sharing between roadside units, vehicles, and the traffic system and implementing them in real-world scenarios, researchers have successfully created VANETs in recent years. With the use of this technology, moving cars are able to recognize traffic signs like "school," "railway crossing," and "U-turn ahead." Drivers may find it difficult to notice every road sign or message plate, such as those for U-turns, speed breakers, railroad crossings, or diversions, during unfavorable weather conditions, such as inclement weather or rainy seasons. Each roadside unit or symbol in the suggested system has a single signal transmitter. Road safety is promoted and driver awareness is increased when a car passes a roadside unit because the receiver inside the vehicle picks up signals and shows the relevant message on the LCD display.
